Why Financial Independence? We in POeTSolvers believe that every major decision in the life of a Nigerian Youth revolve around money directly or indirectly. About 5% of Nigerian Youths that graduate get jobs and the future does not look any good if a solution is not provided with non –productive environment in Nigeria where importation is on the high, increased corruption and insecure environment. There are so many issues to be tackled concerning the financial challenges surrounding the youths which include: 1. Many University/Polytechnic graduates embrace jobs that do not align with their value system because of finance. The vast majority of Engineering Graduates in Banks and Consultancy Company is a peek to the disturbing trend in Nigeria. If youths are financially empowered, they would definitely not be in a hurry to jump the Bank wagon because the Banks happen to be the only business that is growing therefore has the capacity to employ graduates of the finest apt. 2. There is an increase in the population of the unemployed leading to a colossal waste of Nigerian’s Man Power. The more the increase, the more it generates welfare loss in terms of lower output leading to lower income and well being. There is a strong employment mentality amongst graduates who strongly believe they have to finish school, get a job. Retire and die.
